THE QUARTER BISTRO AND TAVERN , or the “Q” as our staff
affectionately terms it, is pleased to welcome
you to our restaurant. A first of its kind in Ann Arbor, the Q aims to
deliver a unique and exciting dining experience by
marrying European Bistro dining with a Cajun/Creole twist.
Our cooking style features only the best ingredients. To highlight our
unique style of cooking, we looked to Cajun/Creole
methods for inspiration. A class of cuisine unto itself, Cajun/Creole
cooking reflects a proud and strong heritage that
features an abundance of fresh, native ingredients.
The Q is proud to present Chef Ernest Prokos, a master of seven national
cuisines and more than 45 years in the
kitchen. Chef Prokos has accumulated thousands of recipes over the years,
and brings the best of these to our menu.
“Nothing leaves my kitchen without a little piece of my heart in it,” says
Chef Prokos. “Cook with your heart, make
food with your hands” is his motto. This approach endows the Chef with a
creativity that results in inventive and exciting
cuisine. Chef Prokos loves his guests, and is always happy to hear opinions
and advice about the variety inherent in their
dining choices. So whenever you dine with us at the “Q,” ask if the Chef is
in. If he can spare a few minutes from his
kitchen, he’ll be happy to visit your table for a chat.
We feel strongly that a combination of great food, great service and great
surroundings makes for a great experience.
